I set up a new campaign to get app installs.
The creative has an install button which takes users straight to the store listing, so you would think most people who click the ad will install the app esp if its free, so you would expect a high conversion on the store landing page.
However:
I did get a good amount of 'app clicks' at a good price less than 0.01 cpc
Ok i though so i upped the budget just to make sure this was working. So I set the daily budget to £30 just for one day.
From that it spent about £22 and the stats showed that we got 3154 app clicks at £0.0069
Wow 3154 app clicks...
But I checked my other stats inc console stats and I did not see any significant increase in installs at all. Its almost like all 3154 app clicks did not convert.
Spent £22 and got almost zero installs.
In any other scenario this would be considered a scam but as its Twitter....
So has anyone else used Twitter to get app installs (not app clicks) that they have checked and those show up on their stats.
Could it be something to do with the ad setup. I did look at the ad creative preview and it showed the app install button and it linked to the right store page.
