I have been running Twitter Ads recently, and so far, I am at $0.77/Follow. This is only one day into the ads specifically for follows. I think I can get it down by 10-75%. large range, but I just have a bunch of unknowns. However, The one known is that the tweet ad copy I'm using right now is not nearly as optimized as it could be. I didn't realize it will not actually promote a specific tweet, so these KPIs are from ad copy as if it were the first tweet to a thread i posted lol!!

Just curious what you all are seeing in KPIs for cost per follow etc?

Don't you think that is too much?
Although I haven't used Twitter ads before, yes, I do. That's why I was saying I think I can get it down, maybe up to 75%, and that I have a very unoptimized ad copy due to a setting mistake using copy write from a thread of mine. Luckily this was caught after like only $10 spend. But there's no way these websites saying avg cost per follow is $2-4.

This is why I'm curious about what the average is for others. Google research shows it should be anywhere from $2-4 per follow (even though simple engagement CPC is like $0.50), which seems ridiculous. I cannot fathom that even $0.77/ is good. I think I can get it down to $0.05-$0.2. Granted, that may be wishful thinking due to my massive exploitation of cheap campaigns in the 2017-2021 years. However, I need to know other people's benchmark KPIs to set realistic expectations!

What are your ads costing per follow? Not engagement.

it's expensive.
better pay a huge account in your niche to get a shoutout from them.

Update: using a proper campaign copy write now.
Currently at $0.04/engagement and $0.22/follow!

I have access to plenty of panels. These are Twitter Ads, thus very real people and VERY targeted profiles.

I see you're a newbie, just a warning I don't think these sort of comments are allowed outside of the marketplace.

Sorry. but why do you want followers on Twitter. It's better having on YouTube, insta, etc
Not even close. Twitter is way better than Instagram. In every area. especislly driving people to your sales funnel off platform. The only place I would even imagine IG being better is for porn. Twitter is better for any niche that involves intelligence

Although I have two Instagram's totalling 140k. I also have over 1,220,000 across a handful of youtube accounts. There are many reasons to grow a Twitter lmao..

Sorry, but why do you use fake followers from panels? They will never convert to anything more than the vanity KPI. On twitter I am converting great with leads across 4 niches.

In today's digital age, social media has become an integral part of our daily lives. From connecting with friends and family to promoting businesses and brands, there are endless possibilities on various social media platforms. One such platform that has gained immense popularity over the years is Twitter. With its unique features and ability to reach a vast audience, it has become a go-to platform for individuals and businesses alike. But why do people want followers on Twitter? Let's dive in and explore the many reasons behind it.

its expensive but you can try it .

I just tried to target the same group of people I use on Jarvee follow automation. Set a limit to not go over $0.25 per bid, and figured I'd scale that down depending on how quickly it filled.

I have 5 variations running. Will optimize more once I'm home. This is so far just cost for the first run I believe I can get it down more

Update: I am not sure if the average was $0.25 per following due to the lowest possible or because that's the target cap I set. I have now decreased the target to $0.10/follow. Since updating this morning, I have only gotten two follows. However, the 2 follows + 4k impressions were for $0.00 (I guess since it's only a follow campaign?). Overall, the engagements are costing me between $0.00-$0.02. Again, I think this is because this is a Follower campaign. So I don't think I'm charged for engagements.

I plan to continue testing these variations to find which will make for the most viral tweet. Then I will create an engagement promotion for it. We will be up massive if I can continue with costs similar to this campaign. Look at my cost per engagement in this SS. That would mean 1,000 RTs at that rate would only cost $2.5. I'm pretty sure a tweet w/ 1k RTs would be in the hundreds of thousands of impressions. If not millions. So if I can scale this at this cost, this will be one of the cheapest campaigns I have ever run.

Also, to anyone who runs Twitter ads: please share with me your average cost per engagement or cost per follow. I would appreciate it greatly! From the research I've done on Google, I'm only seeing a ridiculous average of $0.38-$5.25 for engagement actions and $2-4 for follows. I'm thinking these numbers are inflated since I'm seeing them from most ad agencies or other marketing organizations. There's just 0 way I'm the only person getting dirt-cheap engagements here.

I think it's too expensive but if it's working for you don't let me stop you.

The initial cost you replied to is too high, for sure. I had used the wrong tweet. Once I fixed my Ad copies, it dropped dramatically. How do you feel about those costs?
Did you see the updated numbers? I am getting $0.0025-$0.02 engagements, and $0.2-$0.25 follows. Is that still considered too high? Could you point me to a more optimized platform for media buys? I'd love any advice you have to offer. I haven't done much-paid ads since the year pandemic hit. Most of my paid ads experience is from FB when it was fractions of cents.

Twitter Ads can be run with no minimum spend, and the cost is determined by an auction system.

For anyone interested, here are my current costs after a few tweaks throughout the week.
  • Engagements: $0.006-$0.0085.
    • Pros: If you promote decent tweets, you'll get a lot of organic engagement once you get going. Most of my tweets see an additional 20-60% engagement that's NOT from the promotions. (When I click view analytics, it'll say '50% from ads' or '65% from ads', etc.)
  • Follows: $0.09-$0.18
    • Pros: If you're using good tweets, you'll get a bunch of free engagements here. If you look at the $1.60 spend Follow campaign, it also got 10RT, 126 likes, and two replies in which I was not charged for. It only charged me $0.18 * 7 follows.
  • Link Clicks: $0.0061
    • Pros: Cheap. I haven't had a convert, though. I'm still looking for ways to monetize this best. I briefly tried a giveaway campaign with an OGAds locker, but it also had 0 conversions. As for now, between what I've read online and my personal experience, I don't think Twitter ads are worth it to drive traffic off the platform. I have a news niche site I will test this with later.
In the screenshot, I have also included actual replies, retweets, likes and follows. This is because in Twitters Ads, an engagement can also be a profile visit, detail expansion, or media expansion.

As you can see, this is a small-scale campaign. Overall you're looking at $50 of ad spend. None of the 52 link clicks converted. They're simple links to an Amazon affiliate book product. But this is an excellent addition to Jarvee in growing my personal account. I'm satisfied with the results and will continue to run these campaigns. I am unsure if these could be scaled at these costs because most campaigns are limited. The price is set as low as possible, though, and I'm okay with drip-feed campaigns like this.

Interesting. Can you share the topic/niche of your account? I mean generally speaking because I think this varies big time between the types of following you're building. Would you say this falls under entertainment or education?

I would like to know a good alternative to Jarvee that you use currently.
