Twitter account hacked three times in a week

Hi all,

My account has been hacked three times in the last 7 days : the hacker changed my password. I had my account back by resetting the password.

However, I would like if there is a way to prevent this hacking or to localisation and IP of the hacker.

dont login on a vpn. after using them my passwords end up changed.
 
sounds like they probably have a keylogger on your computer. Run a full virus scan with a few different programs. Change the passwords for everything. You might need to reinstall your OS

I don't know if there is a use of vpn since I use a wifi in a shared house (where however I find the others people in the flat suspicious (they like to spy..)). There is definitively something wrong with this network since when I use it in order to log in on Paypal this last request an ID check saying that I tried to log in from Atlanta while I am in France.

I guess you mean that after yourself using vpn to login your password end up changed.
 
change all your passwords to something crazy, if he still gets in, then he has a keylogger or something.

I've just runned Bitdefender and it says everything is clean. Will try others anti virus during the next days too.

I have already changed the password this morning and it has been changer by the hacker.

How can I block a keylogger?
 
You can try other programs... Malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy are good.
You need to change your email password as well as they might be doing the "forgot your password thing"

If those don't work, reinstall your OS.

Also, are you using a VPN or proxy? Those can steal your info.

I presently have Windows 7 pre-installed on my laptop and I like this version but don't have any one on CD. Is it better to buy Windows 7 or can I download it?

No I don't use a VPN nor a proxy. On Twitter I use Firefox (a VPN nor a proxy) but on BHW and other sites I use Tor browser (in Firefox). Tor uses proxies but normally the problem should not come from there since I don't use it with Twitter.

My wifi network maybe the source of the problem.
 
Yeah it sounds like your network. I don't know too much about that stuff. You might want to encrypt your data somehow.
 
you can download w7 from microsoft.

you can get too a media creation tool from ms → bootable USB stick

I've just installed keyscrambler and also hope my passwords will be safer now.

Why take so much risk ? reformat your entire hard drive then setup all the anti keylogger/virus, if the hacker know when you change your twitter password maybe he have also your mail password and know the new password everytime you reset it.

I am trying to find a free copy of Windows 7 (knowing I have the IID key of my present system from the control panel.

Active 2 step Verification. I am always this security system all of my account to prevent Hack.
If any one know your password, still they can't login to the your account, because they don't have SMS Code/OTP.

I have good reasons to believe my mobile is the first one these haters have hacked.

Best way ever.

Go on a mobile then change all your passwords ,use uppercase and lowercase letters ,and some underscores ect.

Know they wont get in as you done evertihnk via Mobile phone.

Know run a keylogger application ..

Install a antivirus run 24/7 when on your pc.


Free downloads are the cause off meny keylogger apps and also virus and mailwere....

I think you might need to use a vmere
