My girlfriend recently started streaming League of Legends on Twitch and I want her to be successful at it. I'm trying to help her by giving her some tips/advice from the marketing world and searching guides on Youtube/Google.

Does anyone have any advice or tips for a noob streamer?

Here's a little info. about her.
- She's a female, she will def. get some eyeballs to her stream.
- She is decent at games & rages quite often lol.
- She has a twin sister.
- Works 9-5

I'm about to buy her a better mic & webcam for the stream as I believe that's super important.

Also, which book would you recommend I get her, Tribe of Mentors or Eat That Frog. Its to help her organize her life, and to be a better person essentially.

Make her twin sister to stream with her as well, so they will stick out from the crowd.

And most important - YOUTUBE.. 90% of all traffic for every streamer comes from YouTube.

Try to upload as much content as you can and rank for the niche you are streaming.

Yeah, I've talked to her sister about it, will see how it goes.

Was planning to get into Youtube game later after having a bit of success on Twitch. None of us has much of an editing skill so I guess we'll just upload snips of gameplay.

Thing I always hear when watching streamers is to do what you enjoy on stream." Don't try to please viewers, do your thing and people will notice the passion/enjoyment.
I mean, interact with viewers of course, but don't try and do what you think they want, just do what you'd do off stream."
 
Try to get some attention by getting one of her clips on a subreddit like LiveStreamFail.

Don't know why but I read this part as "She is a shemale..."

I have some issues either with my eyes or... :D

I would definitely suggests first of all different social accounts for marketing, Instagram is a must, Twitter and Facebook too, Snapchat could do too. That's the first thing she MUST do, settle down in the Internet and say here i am, I do this and that, come watch me. Then, understand this is long-term, she won't be famous overnight, but consistent streams will do at some time, just don't forget to stream that day of the week you committed yourself to (her). This is optional, but look at AryGameplays or shit like that, if she shows up some of her tits (not nipples), but just cloth sexy, will get tons of followers and watchers because we men are monkeys. Just suggestions... Good luck!

Yeah, I agree being on social media helps. We also sometime fool around tits/boobs insta-famous lol. But nah.

I am not a pro streamer, but I do play the game daily, and I am a regular twitch viewer. Also, I am a subscriber at a couple of channels so I can give you some insight as a viewer.

1. Tell her to stream at multiple channels at the same time. When she is streaming at twitch, she can stream at youtube as well. You don't need to put highly edited content on youtube. The daily stream is a part of the material for youtube as well.
2. Stream, stream, and stream. Whatever getting viewers or not just keep doing it.
3. The webcam is a plus. People like to see the faces.
4. Tell her to interact all the viewers. As she is a beginner, she might get 10 viewers max. now, so it's easy to answer back every one of them.
5. As SocietyGirl said, be natural. No need fake anything to please your viewers.
6. Try to give your stream a better look like adding the logo, subscriber or follower bar, header and all.
 
The best way to grow on twitch is to be consistent with your streams. (Have a schedule and let your viewers know when you go live.)
 
Game choice matters too. LoL is super saturated. She might be better off doing variety streams for smaller games from time to time. Pull in regular viewers from other games.
 
You're better off building a following by streaming some slightly obscure game and then moving to a more popular game if you want to. There are literally thousands of LoL and Fortnite streamers. There are at least a hundred streams (for each game) that are good/entertaining enough to draw 100+ viewers. Why the hell would I scroll down a hundred pages to find your girlfriend's 0 viewer LoL stream?

Fuck League, Hearthstone, Fortnite, and every other big game if you're just starting and have no following on other platforms to bring over to Twitch. I've never tried to stream seriously, but a while back I was playing an old Korean MMO called FlyFF (a game which I had played a long time ago and wanted to play again for nostalgia) and randomly decided to stream it just for the heck of it. My stream was crap, I had no face cam, no mic, and yet I actually got viewers. At one point I even had like 7 or 8 concurrent viewers. If I had been streaming league I would've gotten literally 0 viewers. And the crazy part is in the following days (I only streamed it for a few days) some of those viewers actually came around multiple times, like I had built a tiny legitimate following after only a few days of streaming some ancient Korean MMO.

But hey, that's just like, my experience, man.
