I've been tweeting some links across my accounts and looking at the traffic each link generates it seems to die off after been tweeted a few times. However if I use the same tweet with a fresh link the traffic through that link picks up again.

Does twitter limit your tweets reach if you tweet the same link too many times? Does it matter if its the same domain each time? Eg goog.le/dh7g57 (URL shortened so different link, same domain)

Not sure but Twitter might definitely have a script to avoid spamming. It doesn't matter if the link belongs to the same domain each time but you should use url shortener to share the same link, do not tweet same link directly.

You cant Tweet same text with same link few times in one day.

I don't think that's a particularly good idea. Reposting may piss off users and do more harm than good to you.

I noticed that as well.. I was smashing @reply using 100 accounts posting the same message twice an hour
and the same thing happened, the traffic dropped after 2 days.

So I adjusted it to post the same link 1 per 2 hours and the the traffic dropped after 4 days.

I think I will just use different urls that point back to my original url so I can spam for longer..lol

You shouldnt post the same link multiple times a day, makes no sense and your followers will just view it as spam and not engage. You should try posting various articles which are readily available depending on who your targeting. i.e my business targets business owners so i post out articles around business tips etc from magazines like Entrepreneur, inc etc. I also mix this in with my own articles linked back to my blog, don't over kill your links. If your followers feel they are getting valuable information from you than they will carry on engaging with your posts.

Iv'e posted the same link over 150k times and the traffic didn't slow down. Try and change up the tweet a bit and you should be fine.

You must be mixing up your posts right? I.e not just posting one link throughout the day, but other engaging posts?

yes mixing up my posts. I've added code into my bot to generate a different url each time. Seems to of helped. Thanks for all the responses guys :-)
