Lately (as of this week) TA has been giving me grief in this area also, i can post directly on twitter, but TA just keeps telling me that my tweets are being rejected, even tho they aren't, then i get the underlying connection error.
TA recently had an update, but hasn't solved the problem, unfortunately.

I had this same problem for like 3 days in a row some days back
I waited around 3 days to start tweetattacks again and from them I don't have this problem
anyway try to start the tasks for around 4 -5 times in a row , I mean that after it says the underlying connection was closed it stops the tasks right? press start again and then after its closed , press start again , after around 4-5 tries it should work I think as it does for me

I'm having this problem too. I tried restarting the tasks and nothing happened.

Most* of the time that means bad proxies.

Yeah, most of the time its a proxy issue, if not, your network have problems, if not its twitters server.
