Does anyone use tweetadder on Linux?

I have been running it for a few days (5accounts) and all of a sudden it started crashing - everytime I open it, it freezes whilst loving in the first account.

I have tried rebooting which did not help.

Does anyone have any ideas as I don't know enough about Linux to troubleshoot...???

start the tool from a terminal so you can see the error output. of course you could also check created logfiles e.g. in /var/log/

did you consider a reinstallation? did you do any updates on your machine? which distro do you use?

Ok I done some troubleshooting - I found that there is a folder /root/tweetadder that holds config file etc.

So when I deleted config file, it all worked.

But as soon as I added the licenses back in, it was re-creating the twitter accounts (they must be stored globally with the licence keys!), and crashing again.

So in the end, I set it up on another computer (windows) deleted one particular user, and it all works.

Funny thing is, whenever I add this particular user, it crashes on the linux box, but it will log in fine on a windows box...???

Can anyone help me with this? It is definately one particular twitter user that is crashing tweetadder, but I dont know why.

I have the latest build of tweetadder, I have also opened up a support ticket with tweetadder support, but I think they are stumped as well.

They suggested that I check the account was not set to use only SSL - which it was not.

I am a bit stuck with this one...

You don't know what distro you're using? Maybe you should start there... also, before you delete anything make sure you back it up, or simply rename it rather than deleting it.

If it doesn't without that certain user, try creating another and trying that. You want to eliminate if it's the program, the user, username format, or the amount of usernames, etc.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I thought it was something to do with the twitter account, so I disabled and then re-enabled all the applications that had permissions on the twitter account, and that solved the problem!
