Tweet Demon Suspensions

The thing is, with one of my accounts I was following for the first time - there weren't any to unfollow so it was definitely following people for the very first time.

Maybe Twitter's update now knows when automated bots are being used? Or maybe either 5-6 minutes is too quick when you start from following 0 people, or 22 people is too much.

Seems strange though. I'm sure people would naturally follow more than 22 people even after creating a new account, and every 5-6 minutes is hardly quick.

Yeah twitter is either picking up TweetDemon footprints, or we need to tweet more to make the accounts look as authentic as possible. I'm going to tweet in Tweet Demon while I use another program to follow for a few days.

I've just realised something - the accounts weren't banned for aggressive following/unfollowing.

I've just logged into the accounts and they are suspended full stop - no 2nd chance where you select the checkbox and promise not to follow as many.

Did they take that option away a while back? If they haven't it looks like it was nothing to do with the amount of people I was following or the delay. Which suggests Twitter may now know it's via Tweet Demon.

yeah that was the case with most of my accounts that were suspended yesterday. The unsuspend module didn't work for any of them., Which means they can only be appealed through the twitter support form. Twitter says that they send a email for any account that is suspended for aggressive following but I'm not sure if they actually do that

In my experience sending the email manually works, but guess if you have loads of accounts suspended, it's not feasible.

It might end up being best capping the follow to as low as 50 per day and also having nearer a 8-12+ minute delay between follows. Not ideal, but more accounts would make up for it.

I have noticed that twitter has been suspending new accounts that attempt to follow even small amounts like this. What I do to get past this is run the accounts manually for the first few days or so, and then implement automation.

i had this account like almost a year, suddenly in a morning twitter suspended it because agressive follow/unfollow, hell yeah, since Tweetadder change to v4 , i still wait for another solution, and suddenly iam being suspended with odd reason ! so IMO this should be combination between the TD updates and the sensitivity of the new API ( eventually i bought TD yesterday, i'll let u know after i tried today)

got this from TD support forum

One thing the majority seem to be blind to, especially the programmers, and that's TD keeps unfollowing people immediately, even though you state X days before it does.

TD then will no doubt follow the same people again, which of course results in suspensions.

They've gone and fixed a work around the API but didn't think to fix the above error, which makes Tweet Demon currently absolutely useless and only harmful to existing accounts.

OP, I've noticed you mention you renamed bigger account. I had the same experience following almost immediate account suspension. My guess is real followers did not like new name and unfollowed. If the followers are using bots it'll not find old user name anymore because account doesn't exist. I am not sure 100% about second.

Regarding zero followers accounts we never use bots until it has at least 30 followers.

Right now we are using TD for only posting and follow back and everything is fine. I will not use unfollow updated module until I'll test it with small account and compare with other data

The renaming was on an account I'd had for months, but didn't use. There were 0 following and 0 followers. But 22 following every 5-6 minutes should really be ok on a brand spanking new site, nevermind an account several months old (more than a year I think).

With 0 followers renaming is not a case of course. But suspension for following 22 ppl is very strange.

To be honest I could never understand the reasons Twitter suspended our accounts. The only thing we are doing after unsuspention - no following at all for one month. Otherwise it gets suspended again almost immediately.

I've loads of aged accounts I've not yet touched, so I'm going to start a follow trial today.

Will up the delay and also put the max at around 50 followers... see what happens.

sounds awesome, I'm testing the above problem (unfollow x number of days) with the coder on skype right now..
yes, it still exists after the latest update

OK great can you keep us updated on that.

TD reads the X number of days and ignores people you have followed within X number of days when you delete
the files in the AAA and Event folder.. TD also ignores already followed when the AAA and Event folder are deleted before you press "start"
new update to come tomorrow that will fix this and whatever is keeping those folders from reading correctly
