I want to make a video blog for television shows and would ultimately like to pull full episodes from a site like casttv but I seem to be stuck. I looked at megavideo but I don't like how the player opens a popup the first time you hit play.

Anybody have any advice or know which plugins would come in handy for making a site like this?

Are you building the site with wordpress? if so, there are a ton of video player plugins you can use. There also JW flashplayer script. As far as pulling video conetent, you might have to use some RSS scraping plugins, to do that.

You can use BlogSense-WP and grab from hulu.com's many rss feeds and auto embed them.

I am using wordpress and I can play videos no problem but I can't find any RSS feeds for Casttv. Is there another way to scrape the embed codes for the shows I want?

I will look into this.

I'm not sure about the specific shows you mention, but saw a movie trailer script floating around here that might help.

Code:

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get hulu videos using AutoBlogged? When I pull the RSS feeds there seems to be no videos in them...am I missing something?

Still hoping for some help on this, is there a way to get hulu vids through RSS or is there another way that will work to get them automatically? I want them embedded on my site so my traffic doesn't go to hulu.

Also if you know a way to use casttv that would be even better.

thanks

I dont believe the rss feeds include the embed material for hulu. I had to manually build them with php techniques. I dont think autoblogged can do this.

btw, why is casttv better than hulu?

Casttv seems to have a lot of shows up on zshare that go back much farther, sometimes several seasons.

I looked at blogsensewp and it would probably do what I want for this site, but I don't have the spare $65 this close to xmas.
