Hello i made a site where you can watch episodes of doctor who
I wanted to get your guys advice on how to make it better and get it making money I applied to zango and put up a few ads and submited links to sidereel and nabolister and a few others.
Any advice would be appreciated also if you know of any sites i can submit links to like you do in sidereel that would be helpful also.

Thanks right now it makes no money i get lots of traffic from sidereel and other sites i have a few watermarked vids on torrents that's it so far.
I got approved for zango but need to change the code so people aren't forced to install it.
Any advice you guys can give would be helpful.
 
Yes. Sell advertising or something. Use some creative ways to monetize. Maybe sell Dr. Who related stuff and other things related to other videos you may be carrying. Zango really turns people off though.

I wouldn't recommend Zango; I exit a site no matter how interesting as soon as Zango pops up. People don't feel that they should be bombarded with things like that and it's quite annoying. I see you have Amazon, eBay, and Adsense which would be my recommendations. You should work on optimizing it to position them in the best areas for the best results then you should work on original content.
 
Ok I will wait on the zango and move ads around.
Maybe i need to find better traffic sources and find something that the current visitors are interested in I thought that promoting doctor who items from e*bay and the tv download site and the 3000 tv channels would sell but nope nothing sells.
Does anyone know of a good ebook or something that could help me with this.
Most of the ones i have read all say do the zango thing.
 
Put some pay per play ads on there =D.. or some satellite tv or butterfly network links, every now n then during peak traffic make your site "under construction" and have links to the butterfly network(clkbnk product) and other pay to join movie/tv show network sites as a suggested alternative..

That's what I'd do anyway. I noticed movieforumz did this.
 
Well I installed zango i have to try it but im still looking for sites like sidereel where i can post links to my videos.

like xcptn was saying your ads are clouding the site. i just wanted to give another site as an example, this is for scrubs: watchscrubs.net . though he has ads that are kinda big, its a good layout where you can find the videos easily
 
Ok I removed a few ads and zango only pops up when you actually get to the page to watch the video also added image on the home page and some text telling visitors to use the menu on the right to get to the episode they want to see. Guess i will see how this works out if this site starts to make money i will try and find a better script.
 
go there if you want to be cookie stuffed I always check my cookies even deleted and refreshed looks good to me though

yeh thats a good banner that.. id be interested in a banner made for a whitehat site of mine.
 
wow nice logo site looks a little it better than before I jumped off last time with the popups trying to get you to install that shit.

It was made with:

1. MacIntosh computer

2. Adobe Illustrator CS3

3. Enhanced with Adobe Photoshop CS3

4. 20 years experience in graphic design...lol

The size should be O.K. at 800 x 185 It will just run a bit deeper, which is how a header should be.
