It's useless for building rankings in a real way, based on getting authentically authoritative links via the DR metric. But, it can be quite useful in building up a real niche site with real traffic, to be monetized by selling guest posts. Buy an expired domain with good TF, put some solid content on it to build its niche authority as measured by DA, get a lot of social traffic for it to grow its organic visitors. Then use the OP's method of inflating the DR of the site---now you have a niche domain with high TF, DA, DR, that you can sell guest posts and sponsored posts on, to people who obsess over metrics.

is this redirect really work?It was popular since several years. You can also use edu & gov redirects. Sometimes even these redirects rank and show up in SERPs.
There were 3-4 discussion threads about them in last 2 weeks. OP has only shared half of what everyone else knows
I used to buy Edu redirects 4 5 years ago but never seen any improvement

They don't really work for general sites. They used to work very well for video niches (adult, movie streaming etc) but I didn't check if they're still working. However, they do increase metrics and most people use them to sell backlinks or guest posts, claiming that they are high authority sites.

missed at step three aka not sure what was being said here......I don`t share any new tips for a while. I've seen many of you are interested in how to increase DR from Ahrefs so here is a tutorial.
You need followings:
1. This .txt with all Google search engines (download here) password: bhw
2. Notepad++ or other mass text/replace solution.
3. A good blast of tier 1+2+3 links
4. Patience
Optional*: Ahrefs subscription to crawl daily the site for better indexing (you can use a trial after 2-3 weeks if you can not afford a monthly subscription)
Step 1
Open the .txt in Notepad++
Press CTRL + F
- Replace > https://www.blackhatworld.com
- Replace with > https://yoursite.com
- Replace all
Step 2: Save .txt, obviously.
Step 3: Blast it like no tomorrow > Web 2.0, GSA, Comments, whatever suits you best.
All the links seen in Ahrefs are D0 Follow
Example:
You can go mad if you want and use also: bit.ly or other shorten links but watch out to not get penalized as this is also pure black hat.

You need to build links for the above links that you downloaded (After changing it to your own domain). So you may build Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Links. GSA, Scrapbox blast would do the job.

It helps you to increase the metrics, but won't improve SERP rankings. They are helpful if you want to post spam. For example, you can use them in some sites to post affiliate links, where direct links will trigger auto-spam filters. It's better to use them Tier-2 and then index them using another tier. If you want to effectively use them, then you need a combination of Google, edu & gov redirects.
