this was true maybe 2 or 3 years ago, now app age and retention take the bigger bite
 
@vinku ... Any ideas or solutions to Overcome user Engagement issue, as to traffic source timing and those same new users "Returning" to install an app?

Example: let's say user traffic comes from YouTube link to app's Google Play page... to which Google Play Algorithm records as an occurrance for that user's Android Advertiser ID... then that same user Advertiser ID must return another day to install the app.

It appears that traffic and installs have less value for ranking than a user having engagement activity before an install.

Just had a question is there any reason why this wouldn't work in the IOS system as well? or is Apple a lot more stricter with it?

If you make a new version of your app and update it, you can still get a similar effect like a new app.
