Unfortunately, it's not that simple to hide.

Your Mac-address is basically useless because nobody can see it unless you are on a local network. The only one who can see your MAC-address is your ISP but for the police to request information about you from the ISP, you need to do something REALLY severe like hack NASA, be involved in huge hacking cases like ransomware, download child porn etc.

To be in general, anonymous, all you need is a well respected VPN provider YOU know doesn't log anything. Use no services in your name or do anything that can point to you.

If you are extremely causious, the easiest way is War-driving or simply travel around alot and use public networks/hotel wifis.

Conclution: Unless you do something super illegal, you won't need any other mechanism than proxies/VPNs (remember VPNs are more reliable than proxies).

Oh, and also, Disable your flash plugin if you use proxy. Flash socks use another channel than browser proxy. With other words, flash displays your real IP.

Whatever you do, you will NEVER remain anonymous online. There will come a time when you need to receive money. That's where you can be tracked. And bitcoin won't help you. Receiving money anonymously is the real challenge!
 
I will have to disagree...you can also receive money anonymously and avoiding being tracked.

i do not agree with the TOR part ...the tor network is filtrated and a lot of users are discovered and unmasked

Trust me, if they really want to track you, they will. Following the money trail isn't that hard no matter how anonymous you stay.
 
I am really self conscious about security, both online and off.

OK How about this...

For internet security...
- Use a paid vpn (like HMA)
- Use Tor along with a VPN
- Fill paypal up with money from a prepaid debit card (buy and sell with this)
- Use bitcoin if you want (use a private bitcoin transfer service to transfer to money to paypal,
which you will then withdraw using your prepaid debit card)

Your ISP can still track you and your search results.... so I recommend buying a internet dongle.

OR for additional security....

Go to a internet cafe that is far from you.... do not take your car as your car as you can be tracked with GPS
Do not take your smartphone either.

- If you have to register, use fake details
- Do not look directly at CCTV cameras, wear dark clothing but look nice
DO NOT LOOK OR ACT SUSPICIOUS
- Use a USB that contains TOR (or something better) in and add proxy or vpn and log in
- Be careful what you search and that you don't leave any if your business "traces"
for someone else to find.

This is just the beginning.

So are you working for ISIS or a Child Pornographer or a Hacking organisation, that is why too much work if your not doing anything that is both illegal and gets alot of attention fast.

Nah, some people just like their privacy or might be running from someone (not necessarily the law)

Nothing wrong with that.
 
But who would you be running from besides the law that you would need that much protection?

I don't think there is a group that could be that far outreaching, it would be better to just change appearance and get a name change in a place that allows it without putting it in the paper and then moving far away.

LOL, only people with resources can the further changes you make the more resources are needed. Just making some changes to your appearance can prevent people from finding you.
