Hello All!

I wanted to share a method with you all today which has probably been shared somewhere else along the line, however, after doing a search I couldn't find any threads about it so I figured I'd just mention it again in the hopes that it would help some people out.

Now I should say from the start that this is something that perhaps you shouldn't actually do because it might be a bit against certain rules. What I'm putting up here is just for reference; you guys and girls probably shouldn't put it into action

How to Get High Quality Royalty Free Images without Spending a Cent...In Theory

Most people who purchase royalty free images (mostly from huge libraries like istockphoto and canstock) - simply upload them directly to their websites or blogs, without taking the time to change the names of these files. With this knowledge we could - in theory - figure out a footprint we could use to search for and find an almost endless supply of royalty free images for you to pick up online, simply by clicking 'Save As'.

In theory, ScrapeBox owners could take their chosen keywords and then merge them with the following footprints:

inurl:istock -site:istock.com %kw%
inurl:shutterstock -site:
shutterstock.com %kw%
inurl:jupiterimages -site:jupiterimages.com %kw%
inurl:dreamstime -site:dreamstime.com %kw%
inurl:fotolia -site:fotolia.com %kw%
inurl:canstockphoto -site:canstockphoto.com
%kw%

Using the Google Image Grabber Add-On would then go out and find every upload file that has the royalty free provider name in the url while excluding any results from those sites themselves. This means that every file that's been uploaded on a wordpress blog, for example, that contains "istock" and your keywords will be scraped and saved right there on your HDD for you. These could then easily be re-used on your blogs or websites to compliment your own content.

What about those without ScrapeBox?

While it would take a while longer, in theory, even people without ScrapeBox could use this hypothetical method to their advantage.

Simply plugging one of these footprints into the Google search box would yield a hefty amount of results.

For example, you'd go to Google and in the search area type:

inurl:istock -site:istock.com [Your Keyword Here]

From there, all the user would have to do would be select 'Images' > Search Tools > Size > Larger than 1024x768

This, even without the use of any software, would also deliver a huge amount of royalty free images, ripe for the picking (or more accurately, right clicking!) that the user could use on their website or blog.

Due to the general use of these royalty free images, a person could use as many as they like across countless pages on their blog and really change the whole look of their site, shifting it from a bland and boring blog to a colour-filled, kick ass corner of the web.

This, of course, is all just a theory. But who knows, maybe it'll inspire you to take a few steps towards improving the overall look of your sites.

I hope my theorizing has given you some food for thought, guys. Here's to thinking outside of the box!

Feel free to hit the 'Thanks' or up some 'Rep' if you've now been inspired to brighten up your blog!

yes I have done this successfully. it does work to some extent

I used http://www.sxc.hu/ many times and it is really a free photo provider and they are even having very friendly terms to use their images. Some images so far i remembered even donot require attributes too :)

Thanks for the share OP. +REP'ed. I use another method to find royalty images. Go to stock sites and save the picture you like. It will be water marked with the site's URL. Go to google images just drag and drop the picture you saved. Now google will show you same image posted on web(images without water marked). Here your search results fetch you images with all size. Use advance options if you need a particular size or color.

Hello,

Well this method envolving scrapebox has already been shared here http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/483172-tut-how-i-get-unlimited-royalty-free-images-never-pay-images-again.html
However Appreciated the refresh

Aren't these under license after purchase? These stock sites are usually pretty good at scanning for these images and can charge you a fee after not being able to produce proof of purchase. It actually happened to me...unfortunately.

Completely agree, if you are going to steal images the last ones you want to steal are from stock sites.

The OP is an absolute idiot!!

to bad it doesnt work with all the images

This is the site that I use for quite a few of my sites, not the best quality images but good enough to get the job done. :)
