Is there a cheaper alternative to configure IEM to send using multiple SMTP's? Like, something I can do myself lol. (I don't know php but I am learning)
Or is there another setup possible that can be equivalent to using IEM to send with multiple SMTP's?
Btw, I am trying to begin by mailing around 5K daily MAX. I have been mailing with gmail for the past 2 months and I'm beginning to realize that my mails are largely ending up in the spam folder and only a small portion are actually inboxing. Do you have any advice for small-time mailers like us?
P.S. Excuse the noobness, but what are the benefits of having multiple SMTP? (Are SMTPs just different domain names?)
A cheaper alternative would be to use a desktop mailer and to buy some cheap budget VPS's to use as smtp accounts. Or you could use a desktop mailer, some webmail accounts and some mailing proxies (this seems to inbox the best).
Inboxing is always tough in this game, no matter what. I would advise to always send a test email to
http://www.brandonchecketts.com/emailtest.php and try to get your score down to a 0. The advantage for me of using multiple smtps is they are all on their own dedicated IP and domain. If one gets blacklisted it is not hard for me to discard it, configure another one with a new IP and domain and keep going. If you are sending a large quantity of emails with only one smtp account, once it gets blacklisted your whole mailing operation stops until you get a new one configured.
So I have been going through this thread. But issn't this seen as being a spammer for federal authorities and is it not illegal to operate this way? I would love to try this, but I need to know if I can do this without getting into legal troubles
It's always best to try and stay as compliant as possible when emailing. You can email any business or person without consent as long as you follow the ICAN rules. As long as you clearly state the purpose of your message, how you acquired their email address and your contact details (name, address, phone, etc) you should be okay. Simple as that..
There's some really good information in this thread. I've been looking into getting into emailing for awhile I think I might just give it a shot now. Do you still use the other methods you mentioned in your original post like E-whoring, Banner Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Chat, Youtube, Porntube and Offline Marketing? Also could you PM the name of the affiliate that you're using? I can't PM yet.
I do use some other methods as well. Check my signature if interested in trying out the dating site I promote.
How are you discovering spam trap emails consistently and filtering for them?
I'm asking this because when I was managing email for someone, this guy had the server and ips except his friend gave him the email addresses and the list had traps on it about once every 300 emails. We were blocked and spamhaus'd every mailing typically. Things could have been signficantly different if that list was clean.
I actually don't find spam traps myself. I have some friends who supply me with their new ones from time to time. I also keep my lists updated with any current suppression lists I have access to.
Hi! This thread is amazing!
I read an user who asked about the VPS specifications to start.
Can you tell us it?
For my mailing VPS's I currently use these specs. 4GB Dedicated RAM, 2 vCPU's, 100GB Storage, 1Gbps Shared Port
i know that bhw does not have a email section for past reasons, I was wondering if you guys can tell me of a good desktop mailer?
I would recommend
MailerKing now.
Can I ask, do you constantly have to change your email scrapers too or are you keeping the same vps with them running as they arent sending out any mail?
I don't have to change the windows VPS's I have the scrapers on. They all have unmetered bandwidth and I use proxies to scrape so there is never any problems.
how to verify mass email addresses any idea, i have got 156k email addresses
and i think 90%+ will be working, any one knows how to verify mass emails????
Email verifiers only work for private domain based emails. They do not work with ESP emails such as Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, Hotmails, etc... The best way to verify an email list is to send an email to each one and filter out the hard bounces.
