yes, interspire allows you to use multiple smtp addons, text spins, backup features and feedback loop plus the statistics are excellent as well. Where as Desktop mailers require alot of hard work like you have to manually on / off the email campaign plus you wont have access to statistics and no addons.
Certainly Interspire is the best option

Go for mailing only if u are serious about what you are doing. itsnt a simple setup and once u do send the bulk, u cant take back and many many issues.

I have been doing something similar myself on a small scale, but after reading this thread I decided it was time to take it to the next level. Thought about setting up the mail server myself, but decided to go with Linuxfreak1985 at the last minute. The guy really knows his stuff and got my mail server setup with PowerMTA + DKIM + rDNS + Rotating IPs + SPF within a few hours. My goal is to get a high inbox rate so I'm forcing myself to take my time and meet as many compliance requirements as possible and to warm up my IPs properly.
