Turning wordpress into your site.

Okay small question.

I have coded a site with a nice layout. I was wondering whether I could somehow upload the code and CSS into wordpress, so wordpress will read it and I can work my site in wordpress further?

It is possible. You can create a theme using your existing css and then install that theme for your wordpress and put content.
