Tumblr tags problem - please help!

Hello,
I've recently started using tumblr and have an issue with the tags system. I tag my posts but they do not show up in the public search for that keyword.

Even if I tag my posts with something obscure like jdwsiuhjjds and then check the relevant tags page the post is not there:
http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/jdwsiuhjjds


Does anyone know why this is? Is there some kind of limitation on new accounts? I have verified my email address and can't find anyone else with the same problem!

Click your blog's name at the top of your Dashboard or under the list icon at the top right.
Click "Customize theme" on the right side of the page.
Click "Pages."
Click "Add a Page."
Type the name of the Page URL you'd like to use after the slash (/).
In the menu at the top, change the page Type from Standard Layout to Redirect.
Type or paste the URL of the tag filter that you want the Page to redirect to.
Check the box that says "Show a link to this page."
In the field next to the checkbox, give the Page a title.
Click "Create page."

Thanks for your reply. I created the redirect but this doesn't resolve my problem.

My posts still aren't retrieved through the public search. They still aren't listed on public tag pages e.g. http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/jdwsiuhjjds

Not sure but i think you have to use your tag in the article to make it be listed in the tagged tumblr page

I've tried that too. Made sure I used the tag in the next (tried once and tried twice) but it doesn't help...

How long have you been using that Tumblr account?
Usually the post for that specified tag will come up after a few days or so.
Well it took me a while to get my tumblr post showing up at a specified tag I choose. (a while, I mean after getting followers n rebloggers)

i could not see any type of blog here,can you post actual url of your blog? if you have added it then it should appear immediately .i am blogging for 6 years ,i know adding content,tagging etc on major platforms.
