Is there any 2016 method to make money with tumblr without the risk of getting banned?

You'll get banned eventually anyhow but yes, tumblr->your site-> offers works good. Also you can watermark images with your domain name , thats the safest but brings less traffic

Make huge following on tumblr and redirect them to CPA, still works.
