Tumblr backlinks question

Over the last 14 days I built about 40 tumblrs with pa30+ TF/CF 10+ to one of the blog posts on my money site. Yesterday I checked all of them and some lost its power so I removed them. Problem is that when I started I was ranking on 30. place for the main keyword and now I am around 50th place. I did the diversity of anchors, naked url's, branded, etc.. Do you think ranking dropped because I had some tumblrs which lost power? I removed them yesterday how fast do you think I should see the increase? I used posts backlinks and profile description links as well. What do you think it is the problem?

When you said that "Some lost its power" what you mean by that? Do they lose their TF/CF values or got removed by Tumblr?
 
They lost TF/CF so I removed links from those. It was like 10 of them and I though that I lost ranking cuz of those.. but since they were removed yesterday I hope I can gain it back.
 
If u dont have any other links, 40 tumblrs are too over and not natural. Build other type of links, wait one more week and see if your site bounce back to even higher position, probably a google dance eventually.
 
I think your should diversify and built tier 2 links to your web 2.0s
 
web 2.0 have thousands natural links already since I scraped them. I was also building blog links, forum links in the end of the last week. I hope it will get better.
 
I find it best to create the blog and then create a bunch of posts with random but relevant non competitive links from other sites and then start to sprinkle your links randomly amongst them. I think if they see a whole blog pointing to mainly one site, it probably throughs up flags.
 
Why dont you go with Expired Tumblr account,they will work fine for you.Tumblr is very delicate when it comes an IP issue,same happened with me and then I bought a VPN.
 
It is expired Tumblrs. I said I scraped expired tumblrs with pa 30+ TF/CF 10+ I usually do just one post per blog linking to the money site.
 
I have also noticed drop in rankings with the use of expired tumblrs. Waiting for results after a while.
 
Just because they lost TF/CF doesn't mean they lost the power. Did you lose ranking before removing those links or after you removed them?
 
Getting 40 Tumblr links isn't something itself that probably hurt your site. If one user posts something about a website and 40 other people reblog it the site isn't going to tank in the SERPS.

Ranks usually fluctuate and don't shoot straight up as a site improves its rank. With that being said, I'd take tompots advice and think about how natural your links and blogs look.

The Mentalist you think that if 40 tumblrs can raise your rankings a lot they can't decrese it the same way if not done correctly? Fluctuating from 30th place to 55th on 14 days seems quite a lot for me, you think not? I hope rankings will start improving and will get to 20th.

THe lower down the rankings you are the more easy it is to rise/tank..
Those rankings u are seeing are nothing. just google dancing..
same happens on my keywords.. always bouncing around up and down ..
when you get to page 1.. things get more static and difficult to rise.. You need so much more power to rise from 5 to 1 than from 40 to 10 if you know what i mean?
 
I know that yes. :) Well seems the rankings goes up since I removed the weak tumblrs. I guess 40 strong tumblrs should do some difference. What do you think?
 
Hi @Gustavo , i'm also doing some experiment with the 40+ tumblr blogs, i've already created 10+, i have some question, if you don't mind asking,

How many links you created per day ? How did you index them ?

If it is fresh domain then I really say theres no promise that it always be great.
