What I've been attempting to do is create an excel file with phone numbers and make into links, convert it into an html file, and then using the google voice extension. I tried using both the =HYPERLINK("callto: and =HYPERLINK("tel: commands with the usual shitty luck I've been having so far - Nothing I have tried so far works. Had much better luck with skype previously than I did with google voice, but obviously I have to pay them just to make calls outside skype while google voice will give me the same capabilities for free. The most I got with google voice was just getting freakin google chrome to pop open every time I click on a phone link even when the page itself is already opened as a webpage in google chrome. To wrap up what I'm saying: I don't know what the hell I'm doing and I need help.

Sounds like you need a custom software to start the call, and have it connect to your mobile phone.

There is an option in the extension settings to "Turn phone numbers on websites into click to call links."

Once enabled you shouldn't need to actually make the numbers linked. As long as they are in a proper format the extension can recognize (I suggest (XXX) XXX-XXXX) then it should automatically turn it into a link. Then once you click it the extension will pop up a box allowing you to select which phone to dial.

I worked with a really good developer that knew google spreadsheets. He automated a lot of these repetitive tasks for me. PM if you'd like the link to his profile on upwork.

Thanks for all your replies guys and here's my update: After trying out different methods and numerous experiments, I finally got it working with google's contact list system in a way where the caller can click each number where google hangouts automatically calls it and then be able to edit information related to each contact before importing them all as updated information back into an excel file. I began by converting the original excel file into a csv and then exporting it into google contacts as a contact group. At first, I was hung up for awhile on that part because the phone number I needed to click on for each contact kept being moved into the notes field. So after a bit more research and testing, I figured out that I needed to import the contact group back into a csv file with google's format. Apparently, the google format for csv files is VERY sensitive when being used with the google contact system compared to other programs like outlook and such because not only do each of those headers need to be very specific words, but they even all have to be in a very specific order otherwise the google contact system will start doing the same thing in regards unnecessarily moving information to the notes field for each contact. Now the next level for me is to find a way to keep that little annoying popup box from showing up each time I click a phone number by each name in the contact group. And then....the final boss of the game: Finding a free or at least cheap IVR (Interactive Voice Recognition) system to work with google voice.
