Trying to understand proxies & just not getting it. Help?

Ok. So I have 15 accounts- not all mine- some I help friends manage- I do have them hooked to FL w/ proxies but I'd like to take them all manual or at least mostly. Here's my question- IG allows 5 accounts per device. What if I was living in a house of 4 people- everyone had 3-5 accounts each & we all used wifi- could that risk a ban? I just don't understand this. Or what if I managed 5 on my phone & 5 on my iPad- would that risk a ban? I have proxies in diff states for all but 5 of my accounts so assuming I did keep them hooked to FL but managed from my phone & iPad while connected to wifi- would that flag IG since the proxy is in a diff state?
I would like to be logged in to 5 at a time on separate devices to toggle between DM's & manually upload. Is there an easier way?

IG doesn't allow 5 accounts per device. It allows 5 accounts per IP. So, the maximum number of accounts you can have without getting banned is 5. One more and you will be banned.
 
I have 5 accounts on my iPhone and 5 accounts on my iPad. My niece has 3 accounts running on her phone, my nephews have some too. We all use our home IP. And I am running some of my accounts on FL without proxies.
 
I tried doing the same. I had four accounts on my phone. Then, I created two on my tab but got all my accounts banned.
 
It doesn't make sense to me that they would only allow 5 per IP- more are bound to happen esp if you live w/ a lot of ppl, is that correct or am I still missing something?

Where did you find the information about Instagram only allowing 5 accounts per IP address? I don't think there are any limits to be honest. The thing is, if you are doing a lot of actions on all the accounts from one IP address, you might get either temporary or permanently disabled. I know many cases where an IP address has been used for multiple (more than 5) Instagram accounts and they're all fine.

I think the problem with botting is the actions. If Instagram detects all the accounts (or most) on one IP address are going ham, they will probably take action.

...I presumed she plans to do botting. I don't think you can manage more than five accounts when you are botting. Maybe you can when you are not botting.

Why not get a proxy switcher take the proxys out of follow liker and use on your browser.
 
That makes more sense- so I'd need to either decrease my FL settings by a ton or for sure take them all manual to avoid ban
 
I don't understand the whole proxy switcher thing- I need to look into that
 
How do you manage your accounts w/ FL as in checking DM's, etc if they are on proxies. Also, when I hook up posting pictures w/ FL it ONLY posts at midnight. I've tried so many things & if I don't have it set up to midnight it won't post at all. Any ideas?
 
Solution: Massplanner.
I have both fl and massplanner and I'm not saying fl is bad or anything, but you need massplanner too because of all of the extra features like dm management, posting is better, and it is more user friendly, etc.
 
Yea I want MP but I'm running on only a Mac right now & as far as I know MP is not Mac friendly.
 
IG allows 10 or so accounts on a device, and i believe that limit only applies on account creation.
you can add the proxies on your phone.
