I have a Twitter account that has been behaving strangely for over two years, now. Each post receives tons of (real, genuine) likes and shares, and the impressions are quite high (100 K+ for the last post). BUT! - and here we enter the twilight zone - the account itself has... (hold on tight) only FIFTY -ONE followers. 
The number never grew one bit since the start, which defies my comprehension. Yes, it's totally beyond my understanding. I've tried a few things to correct this. Buying followers didn't help, as all providers use bot accounts (the volatile fake "followers" were gone in no time), the only exception I know of being T***ds (the T experts will see through the asterisks), which proved absolutely useless to promote anything, because the lost people there are their own hero and acheive as much success as a radiator salesman in the Sahara. There was nothing to expect from that. So: no idea what to do, as the account, as it is, already meets all the requirements I can think of for a spontaeous organic growth (valuable info, real organic reach, a huge bunch of likes, retweets - even from influencers -, impressions...) Even ads didn't help. Yes, it keeps me wondering.
Has anyone here ever experienced something similar with one of his (or her) Twitter accounts?
Any suggestion?
P.S. The account in question is not in the adult niche (before someone asks). Nothing lewd, nothing about fringe theories or politics. It's a all about mainstream History (Ancient Rome, Middle Ages, and the like).
