Trying to sell olive oil

Hello

Basically I have a large stock of extra virgin olive oil which I'm trying to sell, recently my company got the authorization to export the product abroad and I've been trying to find a way to sell it on my own or maybe find a reseller.

I did some research and I found out that the US don't have any import duty on olive oil which is great, I also noticed that the US is a very large importer of olive oil.

So I contacted many warehousing services which handle the storage and shipping but the shipping costs within the US are really high (around $14 while the price of my product should be between $10-12 per 1 Littre/ 34 Oz)

I also thought about Amazon FBA service but when I used their revenue calculator, the net profit was really low

I think that selling the product in my own is going to be really hard and It's better to find a reseller that have the ability to sell offline (local stores)

Do you guys have any suggestions? do you know any platform where I can advertise my product?

it doesn't need to be within the US only as I can ship anywhere else (samples can be provided too)

If your company wants to start selling olive oil abroad they should have a better and more cost comprensihive business plan; either you find a reseller for a particular region (which will cost you a lot) or you import the oil on your own and start advertising it with a proper campaign, as you would do with any other new country you would like to push.

Depending on volume put it into a container and ship it. That should lower shipping costs a lot

I meant the shipping costs in the US, the warehouse charge like $14 for 2lbs package

Have you contacted any sellers/manufacturers/importers of olive oil in the US?

Contact people who already have the infrastructure and can handle logistics and offer them a JV or just sell your olive oil to them.

If the OP posted in Dropshipping however.....
Or got to 50 posts and submitted a JV thread......

I was about to post it in dropshipping section but I wasn't sure it would fit there, however the JV thread is definitely a great idea, thank you!

If you apply for jr vip(once your able to ) . You will be able to do a hire a freelance here . Someone will be able to help you sell it.
