Trying to Post a Guide

So I have a guide for virtuemart that I am trying to post, and it keeps triggering the moderation system. I'm fairly certain the problem is that I mention a lot of directories. So those probably look like links that I split up to avoid triggering the system I'm triggering anyways.

I'm not complaining I completely understand, but it could help some people. I can't PM a moderator or admin either, so this seems to be my only option. I'd be more than happy to send it to an admin/mod, and have them post it. It's a fairly detailed, lengthy guide, and I think a new or intermediate virtuemart developer would love it. I'm going to be writing guides for wordpress, joomla, drupal, SMF, and phpBB, and post them here after they are indexed on my blog.

posting links either split or not isnt allowed for new members due to the amount
of spam that comes with them. you your not the first to post this over the last many
yrs and you wont be the last, but the system wont change and the mods wont change

You obviously either didn't read or comprehend what I said. They are just directories like /html_home/administrator/languages. They have nothing to do with links of any kind. I said it probably THOUGHT they were split up links.

Without them any guide on web development is pretty much useless...

My suggestion of having one of them post it gets around that.

I really appreciate your interest to contribute to the forum. I'd say read around the forum and see if you can answer someone's question or post some tips on certain topics which are familiar to you so your post count increases naturally. I believe the post count limit is 50. Once you passed that limit, you'll be able to post threads without moderation system triggering in.

FYI, The moderation system triggers with not just URLs but on some words too.

I had this issue once before, as I'm still low in post count. It can be a certain company/website name BHW doesn't allow, cursing etc. Here's what I would do:
Start the thread, then post one paragraph/line at a time. After each one successfully goes through, move to the next, until you get to the one that is triggering the block, then you have it narrowed down to one line or paragraph and you can go through it and have a better idea of what might be triggering the system and can edit the content accordingly.

My advice to you in trying to post useful tutorrials and guides for wordpress, joomla, drupal, SMF etc here with low post count is to first postpone until you have at least 50 quality posts...then those restrictions will be eliminated rather than asking for mods to modify a system that has been there for years. Just take your time and answer other people's questions and help them with their problems and you will equally be contributing to the community. Hope this helps

I can't believe I didn't think of this! That is an absolutely fantastic and logical suggestion. I suck for not thinking of that. I would appreciate it if a mod or admin could go ahead and lock this. Sorry for not using my brain.
