Trying to Get dial up

Ok, I am trying to use dial up for cl posting, but I dont have a working phone jack.

Verizon is trying to charge me $87 ( one time fee ) to turn the service on + 32.00/month ( taxes incl )

I called at&t, and they have a similar pricing structure.

Also currently I am trying to contact as many friends and families as possible so that I can use their dial up.

Any ideas ??

dont know much about this but i think you can download a software dialup modem and use voip phone services over broadband to use dialup

one quick fix would be the magic jack..

While I'm not using it for CL, it plugs into my usb port, then the phone plugs into that. Pretty cheap considering.

Space unfortunately, this may not work .

I am going to talk to TIme Warner and see if there is a workaround with this cable modem and using dial up access.

magic jack is a phone and I use it as such.. I can't speak how or if it would for dialup. Was merely addressing your question re: a phone jack.

No, you cannot use magic jack with dialup service. I don't have a clue why that question was answered like that on Yah00 answers.

You need a broad band connection.
