Trying to convert a PDF file

Hey guys,
I am trying to convert a pdf file into word doc.
I used a few online coverters and after they converted the pdf to a word doc,
only the first half of the content was readable and the rest was like ( &)
jebrish like that.
Is there any reason for that? and can i convert the whole content to a word
doc file?

Is it a raster or vector document? Sometimes you can just copy and paste the contents of a pdf file if it is in vector format.

I have used Able2Extract and OmniPage before with little issue when it require OCR scanning for raster formats. Many times with raster formats, playing with the settings will get you close.

Sorry but i have no idea what your talking about lol.
I tried to paste the content from the pdf to a word doc file and i go the same results,
just pure jebrish lol.

If you still not sorted, go to adobe.com and get a 30 day free trial of acrobat pro, that's the best way to convert a PDF, all you need to give them is your email;)
 
Depends what version of adobe you have you can go to Document > Scan to OCR > Text.

Or something similar, i have the spanish version so Im not exactlly sure how it is written in english.

On the other hand I have ABBY, if the doc is not to big and want me to run it through the OCR for you I can. Just upload it to mediafire and send me the link. Maybe it will spit out something better.
 
Stick a post in hire a freelancer section I'm sure someone will transcribe
it for a couple of dollars.
 
try nitro pdf if you can, i've had good results with it

in fact if you wanna pm me a link to the file i'll see what i can do for ya :)
 
If you wanna get it done for free

goto thepiratebay dot org

and search for a torrent on pdf to word converter, select the one with maximum/high seeds

and within a few minutes, u can get the software for free to do it yourself :)
 
My question is, what will the software do that the online converters cant do??

You will have to go to edit select all and copy.

Then paste it into a word document and rename it save it off.

With Free openoffice you can make a word document into a pdf file.
 
OK i just download, installed and tried to convert with nitro pdf and i got a message that teh file doe not contain standart encoding something like that and i got the same result
like with the all otehr converteres.
I am out of ideas guys
 
If the pdf's data isn't sensitive you could post it to mediafire and see if someone else can convert it for you.

I'd be willing to give it a shot, but I don't work with pdf's often so my skills are limited.
 
I'd be willing to do it. I do a lot of work with pdf's so let me know. Just upload it somewhere and I'll take a look at it.
 
The thing is that i let anyone do this cause the content is secret so i must
do this by myself i just dont know how.
