Trying to Buy a house, need help with student loan problem

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this so i apologize if it's misplaced.
I am currently trying to buy a house and get an FHA loan but there is this
entry in some system called CAVIRS is popping up and causing a big problem.
Its not on the credit bureaus but they don't seem to care about that. Anyone
every had any luck working with this system? It's some database that the bank checks before giving any govt loans. I offered them an FTC identify theft report but they won't accept that saying a I need to go back to the dept of ed and fix it with them. As expected they were total pricks about the situation. Any ideas?

How old is the CAVIRS mark? If it's under 3 yrs old, you maybe stuck with it until the 3 yrs are up.
