Trying my hand at authority sites

I've made a little bit of money in IM thanks to BHW. Some CPA methods brought in a little cash, but not too much. FB ads and article marketing CB products worked, but I feel it's time I devote myself to an authority website as it seems a lot of people are making great money with these. I started thinking I would make a few MNS, but while doing my keyword research I found a list of 9 keywords within the same niche, ranging from 1,300 to 12,100 exact local monthly searches, with CPC ranging from 0.30-0.82, and very little competition. So I've decided to try out authority sites. monetize with adsense and maybe CB. There is only 1 CB product that I found within this niche, and the landing page looks a little spammy, so I might not even do that.

This will be my start. Along with this authority site, I found another list of 7 KW with ELMS ranging 1,300-6,600 and CPC 0.45-0.96, with little competition. More competition than the 1st niche, but still not too much. So after I get the first site established I will work on this second niche.

I also have a list of about 10-15 KW that would be good for MNS, so I might start a few of them, but they wont be the primary focus. Buying domain and hosting for authority site 1. Wish me luck guys

Got the domain and hosting today.
KW phrase, lets say it's xxxyyy, I got xxx-yyy.org. Best I could do. xxxyyy.com is on page 1 of Google, #5 on the page, and according to majestic only has 3 backlinks from 2 different domains. This KW phrases gets 9,900 exact local monthly searches and a CPC of 0.41, so I'm really excited that my competition is so low.
Outsourced some articles today, I should have them in the next day or so. Then I'll start posting and building backlinks. Manually at first, but I might end up buying a linking package. Anyone have any recommendations for that?
