You can get a backlink from trustpilot that's a High DA site. Reviews is important for service/product based business. If there is something people want to buy and they want to cross check, it serves a good place to reinstate trust in your traffic to convert them into buyers.

It's difficult to say how Trustpilot reviews help in Google rankings without doing few case studies but in theory it should have some impact as Trust and credibility must be one of the ranking factor of G.
Trustpilot has a big impact on conversions / sales though so getting few TP reviews will serve you good in one way or other.

Yes, I think it can affect your ranking since TrustPilot reviews can show up in search results. When people search for your business, your profile and the reviews left on it can show up right there on the first page and it helps you to give signals to Google that it is a trustworthy business.

Also lots of users will add Trustpilot as chrome extension, while view your site, will get the review number and score from Trustpilot.

From my experience i noticed that a bad ranking on trustpilot can negatively impact SEO. It is light but there is an impact yes.

Isn't Trustpilot a Google partner? So therefore, the reviews for your business appear in the rankings when someone searches for you - that's a good thing right?
