I am using majestic.com to check the trust flow of my backlinks.

When buying backlinks with a high trust flow, should the trust flow be that of the url or of the entire domain.

The homepages where my backlink was placed shows a trust flow of 0
But it shows a higher trust flow for the entire domain

Am I getting my money's worth?

just consider the one which has higher TF, its still worth the money you spend.

if it has higher TF for the entire domain with http and www, make use of the domain with them,

and another suggestion, dont just consider TF, check out its CF also, as far as i know, They should be in the ratio of 1:0.8 (TF and CF) , if its like, it must be legit one to buy.

I think Trust Flow is just a made up marketing term they use.

i dont know about others, but i usually just go for the main domain metrics.

Check and see what the root TF/CF is (as I mentioned in a previous thread today, don't just rely on TF/CF). The authority will flow to the page with your link, so overall authority of the entire website is an important part of the puzzle. Think of it this way, if you get a mention in Forbes for your brand, but the page is 8 levels away from the root, do you think it diminishes it's value? Maybe a bit, but it's still a link on a website with amazing metrics. Now, it is good to promote the page where you're link is placed. Obviously there are BH and WH ways to do this. It really depends on what you are doing. If it's a link to a parasite, you can blast away. If it's a link to your personal website, be delicate. I don't blast away at tier 2-3 links anymore. I take my time and put effort into building the authority all around. Doing this will set you apart from 95% of the SEOs.

You need to look carefully at the root domain metrics as it includes all subdomains, so a domain with good metrics may have all its backlinks pointing to a certain subdomain and your link may be on a different one, which won't do you any good at all.
