Trust Setup for IB account? (Or ___?)

How would you invest in major index funds without directly associating yourself with the funds?

The rich are said to 'control everything' but 'own nothing' and I think that is a good philosophy for every prepared individual.

If you have done this already I am curious about the costs for setting up a trust or entity in a respectable yet low/no tax locale + annual on going costs.
