Trolling a scammer

I just stumbled onto this little gem.

This is the way to deal with scammers.
The thought behind it is while a scammer is busy with you he can't scam another. In this case the scammer was held up for 2 hours.

Well, there is nothing wrong with reporting them just the same, I think you should.
But, the scammer is not scamming others while busy with you and if a lot of people start doing this, and the numbers are growing, it gets more and more frustrating to the scammer.

Having a site shut down takes time and is easily restored, wasting time on customers gets frustrating, makes the method used less desirable.

You have a point in saying you are wasting time too, but at least you are having fun in that time.

It is not for everyone though, I agree with you there. Two hours is longer than I would spend on it.
