Trip to Japan!

Wow, I envy you Dillusion. Visiting Japan has been a BIG dream for me too. Wish you nice trip!

So, I'm thinking seriously of making a trip to the country of my dreams within the next 1-2 months, Japan, I'm planning on spending there some 2-3 weeks.

I'm looking for suggestions from anyone from Japan or someone that has been there before to give me some tips on some places that I really have to see.

Thanks

Dillusion

I really, really envy you my friend! it would be nice if you tell us all about your trip whwn you return.

not japan but ive always wanted to go to malaysia.... also the thing that confused me in this thread was snowwhite...i always thought that she was a she.. 2 members here saying thats not the case..

some of her posts also sounded she'ish thats why the confusion..

Was it the only one in Miyazaki, isn't there another?

In Hiroshima, can you go inside the Atomic peace dome, or just see it from the outside?
Maybe, but i'm not sure. There is no other famous ones like The Seagaia Ocean Dome and ppl want to talk about?! if you mean by ordinary indoor swimming pool or waterpark, then there is many! Go to famous beaches! like Hayama in Shonan area( Kanagawa-Ken) You can only see the Atomic peace dome from outside. Don't miss Miyajima Island in Hiroshima if you go there. about 20mins away and The floating shrine of Itsukushima is a MUST see.

Isn't Shibuya a district in Tokyo?!?
Yes, Shibuya, Akihabara, in Tokyo. Many places to go to in Tokyo... Harajyuku-shopping of course but you can see many cosplay girls and guys. Roppongi Hills in Roppongi, the Rainbow Bridge and Replicas of the Statue of Liberty in Odaiba. Ginza for more shoppings. :D too many to name.. ( don't forget to go to clubbing in tokyo!!! Tokyo nightlife is SUPERB!)
:):D:)

I live in Tokyo and have been here 9 years.

If you like eating out, then Tokyo is a gourmet paradise!! There are 1,000`s of restauarnts, service and quality is very high and the price ( especially at lunchtime) is reasonable.

I reccommend tokyo and the areas around tokyo ( kamakura/yokohama maybe nikko and hakone, mt fuji)

It depends what you want to see/do.. but tokyo has everything and more.

If you have any questions just mail me/ or if you want to go to a japanese pub (izakaya) and drink frothy beers + japanese food and talk blackhat until the wee hours then hit me up!

Very nice. Added Japan to my wishlist..

Heard tokyo is the biggest slum city in the world.. interesting place, will visit some day

Hey, I have been living over here in Japan for 6 years. Tokyo is the ish man. Its very foreigner friendly and most people can understand english.

You have to visit the Tokyo area,

Akihabara for starters , which is the electronic , anime, capital of the world!

I would also suggest checking out the night life in Shibuya and Shinjuku.. Just remember the Yamanote train line. All the hot spots can be found using this one line.

Japanese girls are so sexy cute, you would be surprised how much better the girls look like in real life than the B quality ones that make it onto the girlie dvds..

There are many temples and culture points that you cant help but to run into . ...Very humbling......

Stay safe and enjoy your time in Japan.
