I was planning on doing IM but ended up cleaning my whole house. I would say my experience has been good since I have put off cleaning the house for a while. Has anyone else tried it?

If you are in the US you will need a script. However you can get Adrafinil, it all metabolizes into the same thing in your body.

Was going to get some Adrafinil this week and see what it does.

Really want to. Where did you get it? From your doctor?

I actually meant to say adrafinil in my main post. I should fix that. I got it from Powder City, you can look it up on google.

Notice any side effects?

Watching the new Limitless show on CBS has me doing research. Damn you Science Fantasy awesome.

Just been reading up on it, looks interesting but there doesn't seem to be any information on testing and long term side effects.

Are you saying taking mind altering drugs with the idea of just doing more productive shit may not be a good idea?

I like to at least have an idea what I am putting in my body and what the side effects and risks are, willing to try anything once as long as my d#ck doesn't fall off.

That's another reason why I don't plan to take it on a regular basis. Maybe once a week or less because I don't want to build a tolerance.

What made you want to try it?

I just have a lack of focus. Stress has been making it hard for me. So having mental clarity from time to time keeps me positive.

This sounds like me.

Cant barely focus

I love it, you need to stick to what you want to do though, first time I done it was similar was to you. Ended up on spotify making playlists for 5 hours but I've got the best playlists ever on the plus side

First, make sure you're sleeping well. Second, whens the last time you tried going for a run?

Throw some sneakers on, run 2-3 miles then down 2 liters of luke warm water. The only time I have issues focusing are the days I don't workout. But going for a run is the best drug in the world (aside from lifting... and maybe heroin jk).

Here are the benefits of a running / jogging:

1) Sweat out toxins.
2) Muscles and heart relax.
3) Heart beat slows down and blood pressure drops.
4) Brain / blood floods with oxygen.
5) Brain triggers a protein called BDNF which is like a system reset / clears your mind.
6) Brain triggers a flood of beta-endorphins aka natural opiates.
7) Cortisol, adrenaline and other stress hormones drop.

I can't emphasize enough what running / exercise do for focus, energy, confidence, efficacy, motivation, sense of well being, etc. Don't do it for health or to lose weight. Do it cause you'll be in a good mood, you'll get more shit done and you'll enjoy it.

After I exercise its *impossible* for me not to focus.

Also, when I was younger I use to bang lines of speed before work. I could go to school full time and work 2 jobs. But I couldn't fucking focus at all. Was always in a shitty state of mind. Always irritable, anxious and paranoid. Caffeine isn't much different. It's just way weaker. Gives you a bolt of energy, you become overstimulated and overrespond to stimuli. You might focus for an hour or 2 but after that you just crash and are worse than before. I have a brother who drinks 3 cups of coffee a day. If you talk to him after 5-6pm his brain is fucking mush. He forgets things. His head is all over the place. Then he needs a glass of whine just to relax. After that he's like a zombie. Modafinil is just another stimulant. It fucks with dopamine more subtly than adderal or speed. So people think its better... and technically it is better than taking addys or speed. But like all stimulants it'll eventually make you nervous, agitated, anxious.... it'll wind up making it harder to focus.

Stims also slaughter your appetite which causes blood glucose to drop and that just adds to the "mush". Your brains gonna be like "wtf I need glucose, vitamins, minerals... not dopamine!"

The day after taking mod, watch how hard it is to focus. They can be useful after work if you're going to some party, taking a trip or just wanna clean your house top to bottom. But going for a run 5 days a week will be a lot more effective.

That was a good read and I think I'll take your advice. I still eat while on adrafinil even if I don't feel hungry. I also don't plan to take it regularly.

I have a friend who has used Modafinil, his experience was great. Really improved learning / cognitive abilities.

Interesting. Reading description on Wikipedia it's sounds a bit like red bull.... Or speed :-)
