    i am going to show you guys a trick i use with content locking movies.

    1.) make a page with your full movie embedded in the middle.

    2.) here is the twist, make a timed page redirect i usually set it for 2 minutes
    so they know its the full legit movie.

    3.) the redirect will lead to a content locker behind the content locker it will say " click here to continue watching movie name" (it will be hyperlinked to the place where i really got the movie, it could be movshare, megavideo or novamov)

    so this way there will be return vistors cause i am actually providing value to the user and it will increase conversions.

    tip: you can put the content locker on a subdomain so it won't affect your serps.

    Nice share. There are many ways people can twist this too, just need a little creativity.

    Lol this is exactly what I did on two of my streaming sites a few months ago. I used a WP blog and put the content unlocker on each post page in the themes files.

    Mate,

    Congrats on sharing a nice trick. Thanks and +rep given.

    I'll do one more thing for you, as this is a decent share...
    I suspect you'll get inundated with PMs asking for "how to do the timed redirect".
    To all the people already thinking of PMing the OP - don't. He's been generous enough to share, and the least you could do is a little research.
    However, the most common way this is done is with Javascript, but visitors with Js turned off will not get redirected.

    So, here's code which WILL redirect regardless of Js settings:

    Add this to your "head" section on the page where you will display the first minute or two of your video:

    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="120; url=http://newpagewithLocker.html">

    120 is seconds, so this snippet is set for 2 minutes. The timer starts to count when the page starts to load.
    The quotes are correct, in spite of the fact it looks like some may be missing.
    If the newpagewithLocker is on the same domain, you can use:

    url=newpagewithLocker.html

    and skip the http protocol.

    Finally, on the page which contains the locker, be sure to use Noscript code, as, if you do not, users will gain access to the full movie if they have Js disabled, since the locker won't display (javascript-based lockers, anyway, which are 99% of them).

    HTH, thanks again for a nice trick!

    Another method would be...

    Create a file hosting site and once they download something, you stop the user at 40% or so and ask them to fill out an offer to continue.

    The method above is VERY BASIC. You must add your own spin to it to make it work. ;)
