Would you rather build a TikTok account around trending topics or evergreen content? Has anyone found a good way to combine both approaches without making the account feel inconsistent?

I think a mix works best. Evergreen content can provide steady value over time while trending topics can bring quick attention. Keeping the same niche and style across both should help the account feel consistent.

The first preference should be trends, and in between, you can follow the evergreen niche content.

I’d mix both: use evergreen content as the foundation and trends as the traffic boost. As long as the trends still fit your niche, the account won’t feel random—just more alive.

I think trending topics always generate immense and rapid interest. To avoid being forgotten, you have to constantly update with what's new.
