Hey,

So I run a social media agency and get around 500-800 tweets (hashtags) in matter of an hour. However I am not able to trend the hashtag,
can anyone share the exact formula to trend hashtag on twitter, I have seen hastags with 1100 posts in trending, does this means we need
1100 accounts to trend on X? or multi-tweets tweets for single account counts?

Please guide me to figure out the process to get a hashtag trend on twitter.

The trick is getting high-volume accounts to retweet and engage, not just spamming tweets from one account.

Getting a hashtag to trend isn’t just about the number of tweets—it also depends on engagement, timing, and the uniqueness of the hashtag. Multiple tweets from a single account usually impact less than organic engagement from different users. Try focusing on getting real interactions like replies, likes, and retweets to boost visibility!

It's more about the velocity of unique accounts using the tag rather than just raw volume. X (Twitter) prioritizes diverse participation from active users. 1100 posts from 1100 different, active accounts will beat 5000 posts from 10 accounts easily. Multi-tweets from a single account count but are weighted much less. Focus on getting more actual people to post it quickly and engage with it.

That is a million dollar question; it is unlikely that anyone would disclose it.

Getting 1100 accounts, is that not too expensive and also difficult to manage.

I've seen trending hashtags that only had a handful of tweets. The region where the accounts are located also has a big influence. You shouldn't even try global trends, as this is impossible due to global events, Trump, etc., but it is definitely possible in certain countries. Many SM panels now offer this service. Maybe you could place a test order and see how they do it :D

it will boost the engagement if you make other account repost and engage with your content first

If you want to trend on Twitter (X), the key is relevance, engagement, and timing. Use trending and relevant hashtags, post eye-catching visuals or videos, and interact with your audience through replies, mentions, or polls. Consistency matters tweet regularly during your audience’s active hours. Collaborating with others or engaging with trending topics also boosts visibility. Tools like Twitter Analytics or AI-powered suggestions can help spot trends and optimize your content.
