But I reckon with most blog niches these days it's better to go narrow and deep, rather than taking the broad "general" gate!

Yes it is a great idea. If you like to travel and have the means to do it, go to interesting places and people will be interested.

You have to write in detail actually, mentioning every small moment to make the article spicy, create your travel pics section on website and it's fun. you can also review the places and hotels where you live during your journey.

People love great content so it is worth creating it for your audience

Well, you need a reason to blog. Travel or Daily life, or sports, or whatever the niche, you need an angle for the blog. But most importantly, you need a happy kind face for people to see and connect with. Try to do the blog, and also add videos with the blog.
