"Authorities" see SIM cards as a sign of illegal activities. For example I read that USA airports consider it a sign of terrorist attacks. If you travel with car or train, it should be a problem, but if you take an airplane, it might be a problem according to what others have answered me in this thread. I sucks, I know!
