Translated articles - duplicate content?

Hey,
Can you tell me if it is possible to translate articles from a foreign site into another language and then publish them on my site? Can Google recognize something like this as duplicate content?

If you manually translate them it will never been recognized. It you use an automatic translator like DeepL it won't be recognized either.
What nobody is sure what happens if you do this with Google Neural Translator. I won't do it anyway because if it doesn't recognize it now, no one can assure that it won't be recognized in the near future.
 
It's a dirt play but i think it's safe, because the chances of Google discovering you are very low. Of course you have to do it manually, don't use Google translator.
 
It can work for now, but no one knows what will happen in a month or so.
 
I want to use deepl because it's just amazing compared to google translations.
 
It is working. Google translator is also working good. Maby something will happen in the future as other members said - but I don't think so. :)
 
No, do you even understand how much computer power it would cost to translate all the content on internet to all the languages just to find some duplicate content?
 
I was also thinking about using a spinner in addition. Does anyone know a really good one? Doesn't have to be free
 
This is how I do it - scrape articles, then have the software take sentences individually and randomly from each article, to form a new article. Then spin the article to a certain degree of uniqueness - depending on how heavy you want the spun content. Then with the spun content, translate it to a different language - tadaa! It's a really unique piece of content in a different language.

What spinner are you using? I'm from Germany and most of the software sucks in German. So I would rather translate it to English first and then spin it.
 
If you are manually translated one language on your website into another language and the content is essentially the same, this is not a problem - I wouldn't start taking other's content though and translating it as I don't think it would be a good long term strategy.

That's definitely the truth, I personnaly think this translating method will work until the human race discover the quantum computer and use it on a daily basis ( no joke :D

Oh yes. It's absolutely fine as long as youre not using Google translator. And even if youre using google translator try to frame it in your own way. It definetly works and ive been doing this for sometime.
