Transffering WordPress? how?

    Let's say I got a site

    www.mysite.com/wordpress

    and I want to move the entire /wordpress folder to www.mysite.com

    how do I do it? So all the information will be kept (widgets, theme, etc)

    1) Backup.
    2) Login to wp-admin (domain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/).
    3) Settings > General: change the wordpress and blog URL from domain.com/wordpress to domain.com - OR skip this, you can change this directly in SQL tables later - see step 6.
    4) Move the files from the sub-directory to root directory (public_html).
    5) Recheck wp-config.php to make sure database information is correct.
    6) If you skipped the step 3: PHPmyadmin, look for the table "wp_options". Change the values of site_url and home.
    7) Login to wp-admin panel (domain.com/wp-admin/), update your permalinks.

    Done.
