Transferring SubReddit Ownership - Safe Method?

When transferring the ownership of a subreddit, what is a safe method that will not get you banned?

The use case would be either that you bought the subreddit from someone else or are transferring from one of your accounts to another.

I know if you add a new mod and remove the other one soon after it, it will trigger Reddit's filter.

Add the new mod, wait at least a week before removing the old one. Make changes slowly and keep things natural. Never mention buying or selling anywhere.
 
I keep a 2-week cooling period between adding and removing mods. Safe, boring, and it works.

Ok so you add a new mod (under the existing mod) wait 2 weeks then move the new mod to the top and removed the old mod?
 
Add a new mod, have the new mod do some mod actions. and then the original account can leave.

The legit way would be asking the modsupport to rearrange the modlist though
 
The safest way is to add the new owner as a mod and keep both accounts active for a while don’t remove the old mod immediately. Let Reddit see normal activity to avoid suspicion. Sudden removals or quick swaps trigger flags. Patience is key here.
 
Gradual transitions are the way to go. Keep both mods active for a bit and avoid quick removals to steer clear of Reddit.

Add the new mod let them settle in and slowly shift control before stepping down to keep the transfer safe and natural
 
Or, just collect the cockies and share them with the buyer - he will gett all your access to Reddit.
