Transfer Files From RDP To Desktop

Hey guys! Can someone tell me how to transfer HUGE files from RDP to my desktop? I recently downloaded a 46GB file but copying from it takes ages!

I already tried the Local Resources drive.

Can anyone help me out of this? I need to edit those things.

upload it to a file storage then download it from there.

yeah trying the drag and drop feature might have been a little too ambitious

The reason I download it from RDP because of its download speed. Its useless if I upload it and download again. But thanks for the reply.

you do realize your server speed will not make your OWN internet connection faster.

You can only transfer files from and to RDP/server at your own internet speed.


Say your vps does 1000mb/sec download and 1000mb/sec upload that great you can download that 42gb file to your RDP/Server real quick but transferring that file from the RDP/Server to your own computer can only go as fast as your own internet speed can go.

Yes and thats the reason I'm asking if there's any other way to transfer that file to my own computer. If I will do the upload from RDP then download from my own computer, its pretty useless that I downloaded it from my RDP right?

So the point of all of this is there's no freaking way I can get my downloaded file from RDP?

PS:
I already spent searching form google, watching from youtube for this matter. And the only thing that I get is that Robocopy, Xcopy things and Im having a bad time learning those stuffs

And already tried the Dropbox on both RDP and my own desktop, syncing them together but I'm disappointed that when it is syncing down to my own desktop it says that it is still downloading that 46GB file. The reason I downloaded it from RDP is because my internet sucks. :/

Besides taking a trip to your datacenter no freaking way!
You could always ask your host to make a mirror of your VPS and post you a hard copy.
Make a private torrent and do it that way.
Upload it to cloud and find somewhere with a fast connection, stick it on USB.
Edit it in the cloud.
Edit on your RDP.

Ctrl+c on the file on your server then go to your desktop and Ctrl+v
