Transfer domain to 1&1 Free for first year

Is it safe to transfer the domain to 1&1, they offered free for 1st year, but when i reach the payment page using paypal. I am confused with the term of agreement of $200 request payment from paypal. anyone?

1&1 are the worst host in the history of the web. For too many reasons I highly recommend you dont do any business with them.
