Is it me or is the transfer deadline one of the best days of the year in the football calendar, here in the UK anyway - anyone outside of Europe might not have a clue what I'm on about!

Wouldn't want to be an Everton fan at the mo, bids for Arteta and Cahill in the offing

Thats true, Joe Cole moved to Lille from Liverpool and quite frankly I don't get the reason why he did so (Champions League maybe !?)

On the other side Own Hargreaves signed with Man City, which to me is a shitty signing. Grygera moved to Fulham and much more!

Did Honda end up in Arsenal?

Man - I don't understand united they buy all these young players who have little experience and then they wonder why they lose the big trophies. they need someone like sneidjer.but they still buy all these young kids. If you want the uefa champions league you need experience

Forget it man, in order for a team to win the Champions League they will have to poison the whole F.C Barcelona club (I repeat, all of them, not the first eleven :p)

I wonder when will they actually stop dominating. I watched Zaragoza vs Real Madrid 0-6 and I thought this was Real's year however the day after Barcelona demolished Villareal 5-0.

I would like to see City though how would they do in Champions

As I am Croatian I'm keeping my finger crossed that Chelsea signs Modric...at least he will have a shot on winning some trophy. Spurs are going to struggle for Europa league this year IMHO. Harry just isn't up to the task

What you must understand is that last year barcelona we're stretched . lots of players we're exhausted from the world cup and no holidays and also FCB had no real reinforcements for their squad.now its different - they have 3 fresh recruits hungry for trophies.Messi has become more mature since he went to copa america.so i think this year they will be a bigger force than last year.Madrid is still not a team .just money and Big egos.

and Manchester united are going to fighting alot of competition sneijder would have given them a big boost but now they will have lots of contenders.liverpool.chelsea nand man city have spent big.it will be a great season this year.

3 finals in 4 years isn't bad - sir alex is doing something right ;)

The little kids grow up quicker at united with the wealth of knowledge around them in the form of giggs and others

They did us alright this week end anyway

    hes done it twice bro...

We are the second best team in the world

Barcelona are in a league of their own right now and are untouchable.

No one plays like they do

I think we closed the gap with out new signings but they will still beat us

Sir Alex has already proven himself as the best a few times over.

Apparently Chelsea offered £40 million for Modric today, I would have driven him to Stamford Bridge myself. Why on earth we kept him when he wants to go is beyond me, but fair play to chairman, he stuck to his guns and said f*ck it, you signed a six year contract last year, now you're staying!

Yes he does have more chance of winning a trophy with Chelski, but only the Carling cup. They won't win the league, Utd and City are light years ahead and there's no way they'll get past either Real Madrid or Barcelona in CP.

And all he'll do at chelski is warm the bench but at least he could have been even richer

I agree with pretty much everything you wrote there except I don't believe that they would keep their 40 mil signing warm the bench. It would be a strange thing to do, even for them.
