Transcription jobs

Not personally but define good money. I know a couple of people who are touch typists and have done these jobs as freelancers.


There's plenty of people of sites like Fiverr do this work, as it's cheaper than having a staff member on the workforce.
 
If you are new to transcription, you may want to give yourself some time to develop a flow. But if you have experience and you can type fast then you will make semi decent money. The issue with transcription is you have to type non stop to make it worth your while. There are a bunch of transcription companies that will hire you and pay about $20 per hour or more but you have to have experience. If you are are getting into it, I would say invest in a pedal ( it allows you to slow some of the audio down).

Yes, when I used to need money to get myself on my feet and needed money to invest into other things, transcription work definitely worked for me. The pay isn't great, but it's good to have it as an option if you need the money. Rev.com is the site I used to work for.

I love that site because they help you really get the full scope of transcription and they work with you. They are one of the few companies that will hire you with no experience.
 
I have. But I started doing transcription for a company at their office, then eventually switched to working from home. I wouldn't suggest anyone work for companies like Rev long term. Get your experience and start applying for companies with better pay. As long as you can transcribe accurately, there are companies out there who will hire you with less than an years' experience.
