Guys I have a question. I do have my blog "catzinvestment dot com"
During these weeks that I´ve been in the IM nich I´ve learned alot and I know that if I put some effort to it I might earn some money. But the thing is that when you blog you need to.... really blog and stay passionate about it. I´m not sure if being affiliate is my thing? To tell you the truth I just don´t know where to start and how to keep a good audience comin back. There are millions of others that has that passion more than me and will always be major steps ahead of me. Not saying I´m giving that up 100% but I need to start somewhere that I know will be the kickstart. And I have the exact nich.

I´m thinking about recreating the blog and take a totally different path.
My passion is trance.. the music stile. I live it, I love it, I breath it.

Question: Is there anyway you can possibly earn money with that? Any ideas? :)

I just recently got addicted to trance music. I can see why it's your passion! I even had the idea of starting a techno/trance/electronic type music blog as well, though I doubt I'd keep up with it.

I'm still fairly new to the IM world, but I believe you could monetize a trance blog. Start the blog and try not to think about making money off it. If all else fails, you'd have a fun side project your passionate about, even if you don't make much with it! Though, we all know you can't waste time blogging for fun, so..

An EXACT match for the keyword 'trance' gives you about:15k Local Monthly Searches and $0.51 CPC. The keyword 'trance music': 6.6k Local Monthly Searches and $0.34 CPC.

So you might not make much, but it's possible to make something! Especially if you live it, love it, and breath it! That passion should make it easy to pop out good quality posts and keep people coming back!

Type in "trance blog" or "trance music blog" on Google. Do you think you can have a better blog than the ones shown? THREE of them are blogspot blogs! Come on! You can beat those! :D

Eythil.. Thx m8 for your kind words.. I bet there are alot of ways to monitize a tranceblog.. :) I will have lots of fun doing it, so that will keep me going. And the money i get from Adsense wont be much but still slight.. for doing something that I love. :)
I´ve seen a few tranceblogs and I do know I can do it better. =) I travel alot to big Sensations around the world so there will be lots of pictures.. and I do stay updated with the industry and I DO know much about the gengre. Been addicted to trance for like 15 years. Since it all started :) So I bet I will have lots of info to put on the blog. Lets just hope I can get the right type of traffic. :) but I guess I´ll have BHW with me on that :)
Welcome to the world of trance btw.

You could earn through the iTunes affiliate program. That way you can promote individual artists/tracks/albums you like yourself. Since you are passionate about the niche writing reviews should be easy for you.

Trance is the meaning of life.

BUT what can you write about it? There is a new tracker? Or a new sample collection? Or some overrated DJ went to yet another capital and played the same stuff again, saying every 15 minutes where he's at? Not much... Before spending time on choosing a domain and building a website, first try writing 20 blogposts with at least 500 words each (you can always upload them later). If you manage that, your site may have a chance:)

Inftee.. That sounds like a great idea. I´ll deffinitly check it up.

Monrox.. I understand what you mean.. How am I suppose to keep up? There are always some nice cuddly stuff you can write about. There are many events out there that many people are clueless about. And that´s where I enter the building.
    Ideas that I have i.e:

    1. Most played tune of the week on youtube (will have to find a way to keep track on that)
    2. Most played D.J of the week on youtube (also have to keep track on that)
    3. Upcoming events such as: Sensation black/White, TE, Full moon, Focused,
    4. An idea to keep traffic comin would be if I could implement some kind of voting. I put up like 10 tracks for the comin month and let people vote which is the best tune and at the end of the voting put the track on youtube. That way I would have the perfect link between my blog and the tube. People want to see what the hell that blog is about.
    5. I can also have a section for guestbloggers that wants to share their favoritetracks and secondly favorite events.
    6. If the blog turns out well and the targeted traffic go maham on my site, there could be another section on the site where "Dj´s in the making" could put a post up if they are having a minor events. That would be a perfect startup for them. Note: This is very far away from now, but I´m going brainiac right now.. =)
    7. Interviews with Dj´s.

And the list goes on and on. You see there are actually many ideas that just popped up right now without even thinking.)

SirJocky.. that actually sounds like a good idea. Earning from affiliate-tickets. Interesting I say. =)

    Hey BlackCat..

The Dj-software is not a bad idea. Ofc I could advertise such stores. :)
I coule even have a section with specifit DJ-gear like mixertables and stuff like that.
And the ticket-section. For example here in Sweden we do have a couple of stores that sell tickets to events. In the futures i could collaborate with i.e Saturn Return och C.u.m to sell tickets and maybe get a few bucks from it if people order from me.

But first I need to have some content, and traffic. I recently came up with the Name to the blog and working on the Logo right now. =) I truly hope this might be something Big. I´ve learned alot about how to get traffic to a webpage let alone targetet traffic. :)

I´ll keep you guys updated with the process and I´ll put up a prscr atleast when the homepage is done with all the graphics. :) Always nice with feedbacks :)

Cool, update as you go if you have time please. I'm interested to see how it progresses for you. Once you have some good traffic you could even sell promo spots for new DJ's tracks or write paid reviews.
