What are some good methods for training a new Facebook Pixel with no existing data
Thank you

Will Pixel work on iPhone if I only have meta pixel installed without conversion api ?

Run ad for traffic with landing page view optimization.

This.

Think about it like an event tree

Impressions > click > cart > payment > conv > roa + conv

Start at the top of the tree, push data through, move to the next in line etc

To optimise for conversions, you must first have conversions. Start at the top and slowly work your way down as your data comes in.

I personally like starting at add to cart, but that depends on how well you feel your site will convert users and how well you understand your converters for better manual audience targeting. If you have a poor converting site I'd start at the very top (impr)

Start by creating high-quality relevant content, running broad campaigns and using lookalike audiences to gather data and train the pixel effectively.

Try running a traffic campaign first to collect some data, then switch to conversions Facebook will learn and optimize as you go

Start by running broad interest-based campaigns with small budgets to gather data quickly, then use that to refine your targeting and create custom audiences as the Pixel learns

Try running broad traffic ads to collect data, set up key events like clicks or purchases and let the Pixel learn from your audience’s actions over time!

Try starting with broad targeting, run a simple campaign, and let the Pixel track events then gradually narrow down based on the data it collects!

Start by running some small, targeted ads it's like teaching your Pixel to walk before it can run:smirk:

You can kickstart a new Facebook Pixel by driving traffic through engaging ads, then let the Pixel collect data to optimize your campaigns over time.

Start with brod events like page views or link cliks, then let the Pixel lern over time

Try broad targeting, Lookalikes, and retargeting to get data rolling quickly!

A common approach is to start with a traffic campaign to gather initial data, then switch to conversion campaigns so Facebook can optimize as it learns.

When starting with a new Facebook Pixel, it’s usually best to keep things simple and avoid narrowing the audience too much. Sending cold traffic with broad targeting allows the pixel to start collecting basic event data and understand user behavior.

Once you have consistent events coming in, you can gradually optimize by adjusting audiences, budgets, or conversion goals. Giving the pixel enough time and data before making changes helps improve performance in the long run.

Use warm audience first, run low budget ads, target broad interests, let pixel collect data.

When starting with a fresh pixel, focus on getting consistent conversion signals first rather than optimizing too early. You can run traffic or engagement campaigns initially to warm it up, then switch to conversion campaigns once you have enough data. Also, keep your audience size reasonably broad in the beginning so the pixel has room to learn before narrowing things down.

I always kick off with simple campaigns like traffic or conversions with broad but relevant targeting so it learns faster. don’t over segment at the start. make sure your event tracking is set up properly so it actually learns from conversions.
