Yes this is a ad for Athearn model trains although this pretty much is the curriculum I have to do to get my MBA!

Take it from me, a degree doesn't really help you run a business. It just helps you get a job!

All the people in my family are constantly pressuring me to go to college.

I ask them, for what? What is college's guaranteed ROI?

The real question is why spend 5 - 8 years , when you can spend 1-2-3max to learn/start your own business and promote it yourself? Then get a degree on the side like a boss.

Couldn't you take online/correspondence courses instead of going to an actual college? The University of London offers a great international correspondence offers great deals for a undergraduate degree its only $5,000 total and you can get it in 3 years, the postgraduate is more expensive at $12,000 for the entire degree and it takes 2 years. Still much cheaper and more flexible then going to physical college.
 
As far as I know, MBA takes 2 years. Though, who cares, once I complete BBA, I am done :D
 
MBA generally takes 2 years although there are 1 year intensive courses knocking about.

An MBA is not a business degree in the practical sense. I was never thought anything about kissing arse or being ruthless but I learnt a lot about streamlining big business models stuff like Six Sigma and Lean systems as introduced by Japanese companies and big American companies like Motorola and Boeing.
 
An MBA is only necessary if you intend to spend your life working for large corporations.
If that is your chosen career path then it is probably vital because a lot of companies won't consider you for the top positions unless you have one. Also it will depend on where you got your MBA too.

If you want to work for yourself the best experience you can gain is by getting out there and doing it.
